Proudly serving the Swiss-American Community in the Greater New York Area

Our mission is to create inclusive and memorable experiences for the broader Swiss and Friends community to build connections.

Since its founding in 1882, the Swiss Society of New York has been focused on being a connector of the Swiss-American community; providing events and programs that support, promote and share Swiss heritage, culture, arts, science, education, business, and topics of interest to the general public.

The Swiss Society of New York is a private not-for-profit corporation under the New York law and a tax exempt charity under the Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All activities are supported by sponsors and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Its members primarily reside in the Greater New York area.

What We Do

With the help of our sponsors and members, we organize events celebrating Swiss culture and promote the friendship
and exchange of ideas among Swiss citizens and friends of Switzerland.

Swiss National Day

Each year, we organize our outdoor event to celebrate our Swiss national day. It’s a day for us to get together to celebrate everything that we love about Switzerland. And of course eat raclette in the middle of NYC summers!

Annual Swiss Gala

Enjoy fine dining, entertainment, dancing and a silent auction at our annual Swiss Ball held under the patronage of Ambassador Niculin Jäger, Consul General of Switzerland in New York.

Events

Besides our annual celebrations such as Swiss National Day or the Swiss Ball, we also meet regularly at different events such as Fondue Night, Networking opportunities or other community events.
